In continuation of my earlier post on Bharathiyar - https://priyagovindh92.blogspot.in/2014/10/andru-sonaan-bharathi.html, I have listed some more poems which I read and rejoiced. Bharathiyin sollukku mayangaavadhar undo? I am definitely not an exception. Thanks to my mom and my grandpa who ensured that I learn Tamil in addition to the languages taught in school. Their love for the language and the literary works, sparked a curiosity in me which has now grown into a love for it. Probably, would dedicate a separate post on Tamil and what I see in it. For now, let's celebrate Bharathi's works!

A beautiful composition of the poem in the movie - Kanne Kaniyamudhe.
Agni Kunchondru kanden
A very short poem that sends out a strong meaning. Just one fire, one thought, one idea that you seed will have the ability to convert an entire forest into ashes. In short, it says don't under estimate the power of a small thought injected into an active, young mind.

As recited by my favourite person - KamalHassan in one of his best movies, Varumayin Niram Sivappu:
Sendrathini Meezhadhu Moodare..
One of the poems that had such a deep meaning and hit me hard, forced me to realize the truth of life.
Sendrathu ini meezhaadhu moodare! neer,
eppodhum sendrathaye sindhai seithu
kondrazhikkum kavaLai yenum kuzhiyil veezhndhu
kumayaadheer! sendradhanai kurithal vendaam.
Indrup pudhidhaai pirandhom endru neevir

thindru vilayaadi inbuttrirundhu vaazhveer;
theemai ellam azhindhu pom, thirumbi vaaraa!
I am still trying to follow this but in vain. To you guys now! :)
Still more to come as I continue my journey to Bharathi's world.
